Character Creation Wednesday: Beta Wolf

On the third Wednesday of each month, on my author Facebook Page, I host a live broadcast where my fans create a character for one of my upcoming books. It’s so fun!

This week, we created a character who will be staring in a cowritten book I’m working on with my friend, and blogger, Lynn Shaw of 2 Girls & a Book. You should check out her blog and Facebook page.

The character we worked on is Liam, the beta wolf in our wolf shifter pack.

Those attending the live creation decide on the character’s name, what they look like, their personality, family, and more! I’m just there to moderate and give basic rules about the story (where it takes place and what the world is like).

We’ve created Princes, witches, shifters, and more!

Our first creation will appear in Deal: A Rumpelstiltskin Retelling on March 31st. His name is Coen and he was supposed to be a minor side character. Well, he stole the show! My fans created a character who owns 1/3 of that book and he’s brilliant!

Liam is a tall guy with red hair, freckles, and a dimple. He has an Irish accent and he widdles! C’mon guys, that’s cool. If you want to know more, you’ll have to read the book when it comes out. All those who help create the character receive a free ebook of the book when it’s ready for publication.

If you’re interested in joining the fun, I’m creating a character with YOUR help every Wednesday at 7:30pm EST at http://www.facebook.com/melaniegilbertauthor
